What a doula is

A presence, not a service.

A doula offers continuous support (emotional, physical and practical) before, during and after birth. I do not replace the midwife or medical staff, and I do not make clinical decisions.

    The free call

    We meet over the phone, no commitment. You tell me where you are and what you're looking for.

  2. 2

    The first meeting

    you decide

    The first in-person meeting, at your home. Only afterwards do you choose whether to start a path: you pay for it (CHF 80) only if you decide not to continue.

  3. 3

    We choose the path

    Together we choose a path, or build a custom one. The home visits prepare the body.

  4. 4

    On call from week 37

    From then I'm on call day and night, ready when labour begins.

  5. 5

    At birth, and after

    I stay with you through the whole birth, and then through postpartum, as everything settles.

Questions

  • Can you support me entirely in English?

    Yes. I work in English and Italian, and also in Portuguese: whichever language feels most yours, from our first call to the weeks after birth.

  • Do you replace my midwife or doctor?

    No. I don't replace the midwife or medical staff, and I don't make clinical decisions. I work alongside them.

  • How do we start?

    With a free 30-minute call, no commitment. Then we meet at your home: you only pay for that first meeting (CHF 80) if you decide not to continue.

  • Do you come to my home?

    Yes. Our meetings in pregnancy and postpartum happen at your home, 60 to 90 minutes each.

  • I'm not in Ticino yet, or I live abroad.

    I also offer private online sessions on request, wherever you are.

  • Does health insurance cover it?

    Some complementary insurance policies cover part of doula support. It is worth asking your own insurer what yours includes.
